Plymouth Events: Summer 2023

I know we are all hoping for a repeat of last years glorious summer, but, I cannot promise that. However, I can bring you some fantastic events for you to enjoy.




So, what does Britain's Ocean City have in store for us? No need to look any further than here:


Flavour Fest returns for another year from 26th - 28th May. This is the South Wests largest free food and drink festival, held in the city centre. More info can be found here https://www.flavourfestsw.co.uk/


MUSE are kicking of their 2023 tour at Home Park on the 27th May. The multi-platinum and Grammy award winning Devon band return to Plymouth ahead of the release of their 9th studio album, Will Of The People. https://homeparkstadium.com/events/muse/


Bridging the Tamar Fun Join Seadream to make a bug hotels or seed bomb for your garden. Learn about seeds from around the world, and take home your own bug hotel or seed bomb. Check out and study bugs through a microscope to discover some of the secrets of the bug world. Each session is 1 hour long and will cost £4.00 per child. Adults must accompany each child, adults are free.

Good food and craft market 4th June Known for showcasing some of the region’s most talented artists and makers, the markets offer everything from tasty treats to handcrafted gifts. The monthly markets have been a staple of Royal William Yard’s event calendar for years, and have won event awards along the way.


Southway Funday 10th June between 11am and 3pm at Bond St Field, Southway, Plymouth, Devon, PL6 6TB


Plymouth Hope Festival Saturday 7th June - Plym Hope Festival is the largest multicultural event. An annual event that bring together communities from across the South West. Event include art, cultures, live music, food from around the world, face painting, bouncy castles, football tournament.

Plymouth Armed Forces Day Saturday 24th June - Plymouth Hoe - There will be activities for all the family to enjoy and get involved in, from exploring military vehicles and equipment, to tackling the Royal Marines obstacle course. Explore the dynamic displays in the Royal Navy Village and chat to the RAF recruitment teams to learn more about the wide range of careers on offer, from Aircrew to Chef! Look out for the brilliant displays from the Emergency Services too, who will be on-hand to chat to you and offer advice, as well as explaining how they use their emergency equipment.


Love Summer Festival 4th - 6th August - Now in Its 12th year. A family friendly festival with 3 stages featuring cutting edge music. Childrens Area, Glamping, Great Food. Caravan and Camper friendly.

Bring your own beer.



British Firework Championship - 16th and 17th August - Plymouth Hoe.

The British Firework Championships are a must-see event, showcasing the incredible talent and artistry of six top pyrotechnic companies. Prepare to be captivated as they unleash their creativity and compete for the coveted championship title. Each company will present an extraordinary ten-minute display, leaving you awestruck and yearning for more.




Saltram Rotary Classic Car Show - Sunday 3rd September, principally supporting Devon Air Ambulance. In the beautiful setting of Lyneham Estate, PL8 2LG.
