A New Vision for Plymouth: Why We’re Trading the Radio Mic for the Camera Lens

The local media landscape in Plymouth has shifted significantly over the past year. With the sudden closures of Omnium Radio, Janner Radio, Ptown Radio and recently Ocean City Radio, a void was left in how our community connects.

At PlymouthRMA, we took a long, hard look at the future. We considered relaunching *Omnium Radio* or *Janner Radio*, but we realised that simply repeating the past wouldn't best serve the community's future. The world has changed—and so have we.

Evolution: From Audio to Visual

In 2026, the way we consume information is visual. Whether it's scrolling through TikTok or catching a livestream on YouTube, video is the language of the modern internet.

With that in mind, we are thrilled to announce our biggest project yet: PlymouthRMA+TV.

We are putting our full effort into creating a dedicated digital TV channel for Plymouth, centered around our city's incredible heritage, community, and maritime culture.
